My name is Anna Piotrovskaia. I am an art historian from St. Petersburg (Russia). For almost my entire life, I have been engaged with the history of fine arts. I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Art History from St. Petersburg State University and am currently working on my dissertation to obtain a Ph.D. During my Master's studies, I spent a semester as an exchange student at the Università degli Studi di Verona (Italy), which enriched my academic experience.
From 2020 to 2025, I worked as a research associate at the Museum of the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. Since 2025, I have been the Chief Curator of the Collections at the Sosnovy Bor Museum of Contemporary Art. Since 2024, I have been teaching at St. Petersburg State University and the F.M. Dostoevsky Russian Christian Academy for the Humanities.
Alongside my museum work, I now also offer private services in art history and conduct academic research, which is why I maintain a network of professional contacts in this field in Russia. I have been a member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) since 2021.
